Sept 2018 - NO LONGER A BAKERY SHOP - walked up here this afternoon and they advised that they have stopped operating as a traditional bakery shop and now only offer bread making courses with advance booking. Recommended "Deli at No. 4" in Hexham opposite the abbey for bread.
A great bake this weekend, just back from holiday in northern Ontario, so we're refreshed and happy bakers again! Our woodsheds are newly stacked with great dry wood from Unicorn Wood Products local, sustainable forests, and we're ready for the autumn season of bread making courses ahead. We think our students are just great, especially the ones who come with a gift voucher, kind of nervous at the beginning, but ecstatic by the end of the baking day!
It's odd, or then again, maybe it isn't, to be in love with our own place! We bake here very happily indeed, producing a variety of lovely breads for lovely shops throughout Tynedale and now we are moving along into exclusive shops in Newcastle upon Tyne. We bake real bread, and it's always a delight when our customers give us feedback.
