Queens Hall is always good, but is even better with the new caf. Set up as a genuine caf and not a "mini restaurant" it has lots of good space, for shopping bags, buggies etc, a small but appropriate range, all the good things you'd expect, and a lovely personal touch from staff. Worth calling in!
this review is for the venue only, we went to see a bluegrass band on the 30th of October 2018. We found the seating in the library extremely uncomfortable and we were unable to see the band as we couldn't see past the audience in front of us, the hall also became unbearably hot.The band, the Slocan Ramblers were excellent and get a well deserved 5 star plus.
Don't know much about this venue as I was just visiting, but i enjoyed a Brass Band evening, they were really good ! Lovely comfy seats, nice and warm. There is a lift if you can't manage stairs . a nice bar for refreshments . looking forward to going again.
