Just did some work stuff this place and I can say it's picturesque

Needed to paint over varnish without sanding down tried everywhere and got told it couldn't be done went here and bingo got exactly what I needed .definitely be back ..

This was our first camping trip ever.we found the site by chance,no recommendations.we 1st visited 2015 and we have been back many times since.dougy and Norma the owners are very nice.its a very peaceful site right on the river bank so relaxing.toilets and showers are cleaned daily.theres a club about a 10minute walk away cheap as chips.the residents in the statics are also very friendly, everyone speaks its a great place to get away the the hustle and bustle of everyday life

Having the owner of the site turn up outside our tent at 10pm extremely drunk while we were trying to put our 9 month old son to bed was just the start of our horrible experience here. She stood there swaying, eyes out of focus, being very loud, which of course disturbed our son, she then asked how everything was - My wife had a very mild complaint that the toilet block had been locked all afternoon, which is obviously extremely inconvenient for a lady in the outdoors, especially with a young baby.....Her response to this was to step in closer and raise her pointed finger at my wife and say ' well, I'll give you tomorrow's money back and I want you gone in the morning'. She then proceeded to storm off ranting. I attempted to ask her why she was reacting so poorly - she just kept stumbling away shouting and 'GO ASK YOUR WIFE!' 'SHE'S THE ONE WITH THE PROBLEM NOT ME!'. She then came back with a 20 note and started attempting to hurl abuse - We were taken aback. I've never seen anyone in what is supposed to be a professional service act this way. I had to ask her to leave our pitch as my wife and child were becoming distressed by her actions. We went to sleep knowing we'd now need to sort out more accommodation last minute on our holiday - less than ideal in peak summer periods....Our check out time was 11am - she turned up at 10:15am while we were having breakfast with the opening line - 'I want you gone from my place, I said I want you gone by 10' - We replied - 'the check out notice is 11am which we paid for, we are just finishing breakfast, please just leave us alone and we'll be packing up and leaving'.She then sat down in one of our camping chairs and refused to move. Once she realised that wasn't going to work, she started trying to rip our tent forcibly from the ground while our possessions were still inside. Luckily another camper persuaded her to go back to the office. Within 2 minutes I had her husband in front of me putting his face within an inch of mine trying to be physically intimidating - too bad he was so severely obese he was out of breath from the 30m walk from the office....We left feeling accosted - the police were nearly called - that shouldn't happen EVER, let alone on a peaceful camping holiday. We called up Hedding hill farm - they were fully booked, but made space for us anyway, have been insanely lovely so now we're enjoying some of their delicious pizza in the sun - if in the area, I'd recommend there instead.... :)

Stayed may bank holiday site is lovely and quite, right on the river bank fantastic, toilets basic but very clean one shower but not complaining because it was red hot .Nice 10 minute walk into village club ,anchor ,miss the railway station pub very expensive .
