Charming station in the glorious Tyne Valley with level crossing and working signal box at its western end. Waiting shelters on both platforms and covered bike rack on the westbound platform, to which there is direct access from the small adjoining free car park. Payphone (card payment only) inside waiting shelter on westbound platform. Easy access for wheelchair users to services in both directions.
Nice station, could do with a more frequent service.
An attractive railway station with a signal box. Steam trains including those hauled by 60103 Flying Scotsman pass through from time to time.
Peaceful - except for events - enough of 'em though to keep you entertained - nice folk - picturesque - brilliant wild life and birds - glad to be living here - 3 pubs can't be bad B-)
