Oly problem it didnt do food on sunday after 4pm . So we got a takeaway then the pub closed before 7 30 . So we couldnt get another drink .
We stayed for our last night of walking Hadrians Wall. The accommodation was very comfortable and well appointed and my pork belly for dinner was delicious. We needed to leave by 8.30 and despite the fact they dont start serving breakfast until 8.00 they made absolutely sure that everything we ordered arrived immediately. The staff could not have done more to help and made our stay and our departure as easy and as comfortable as possible. Full marks and thank you
Had a delicious lunch here with a group of 7. Cosy bar area (restaurant area available too). Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Lovely motorhome stopover. Lovely atmosphere, great food, great local real ales, pleasant and friendly staff and we were lucky enough to stumble across their great pub quiz. Many thanks!
Stayed as one of a party of four doing Hadrians wall walk. Comfortable newly decorated twin bed room. Nice meal in the evening with sizeable portions and good breakfast. Lots of walkers staying. Would stay again.
