Very interesting museum. Parking easy and access quite good. Very friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
DO Not go to Gaol in the early 1700s you wouldn't like it, no re-offending afterwards you tended to be dead, A little expensive but I enjoyed the visit. Also enjoyed Visiting the Abby as well
Great place.We had a Home ed workshop there, the same they provide to schools.The staff were great! We learned loads.The talks were engaging, tour informative and interesting and there were plenty of activities to keep the attention of kids of varying ages.The kids acted out historical events, dressed in authentic period clothes, danced a traditional dance, did quizzes and explored tables with historical everyday items.Highly recommend a visit here, but think you would get more out of the place if you can go on one of these education days.
Great historical place to visit. Only down side is that when listening to dungeon tape in the lift, others can request lift before the tape finishes.
